Meet Las mujeres del Mariachi: Flor de Toloache

When Bogotá does things right, it does them really right. Like, say, Colombia al Parque, a free, three-day music festival in Parque de los Novios. The festival brings to the stage performers from all regions of the country, as well as from Mexico and beyond.

The highlight for me was the New York-based, Latin Grammy-winning Mariachi Flor de Toloache, the world’s first and thus far only all-female Mariachi band. Check out their Mariachi-flavored medley of Nirvana’s Come as You Are, Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir and All of My Love, plus Latin favorite Besame Mucho.
