Find me in The Bogotá Post!
A return to paid writing and other commitments have pushed this project to the back burner, unfortunately. There are still posts in the pipeline that will appear at some point, but in the meantime, here are a few examples of what I’ve been doing over at The Bogotá Post:
Tiempo sin Olvido brings Colombia’s pre-Hispanic past to life (September 30)
Key quote: “Every artifact contains a tremendous amount of meaning I’m fascinated by very small objects that communicate an important concept or a tremendous amount of information. A single object – an arrowhead, for example, or a necklace – can teach us a great deal about the people who created and used it. We can learn about their beliefs, their technological expertise, how they organised their society, and how they traded or fought with other groups.” ~ Francisco Romano, Archaeology Curator, Museo Nacional de Colombia
On its 20th birthday, Google see strong Colombian potential (September 22)
Key quote: “We don’t innovate for a ten percent improvement. We build solutions that will improve things by a factor of ten.” ~ Giovanni Stella, Google Country Manager for Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Prado treasures reproduced in new Bogotá exhibition (September 5)
Key quote: “This is work from one of the most important museums in Europe, which is visited by three million people a year and has one of the best collections of European art in the world.” Pablo Gómez de Olea, Spain’s Ambassador to Colombia.
